This is my first self portrait i've ever done. Critiques welcome. I got to give props to :iconcopperthistle:. He's a sick illustrator. His work is what got me started doing these. On this piece I actually imitated some of his techniques. Like the textures and the shade blending. I actually snatched some of the skin tones from some of his pieces. I'm not trying to steal his style I'm just borrowing some of it till I work out my own. anyways, just thought I'd give some recognition. As for the piece I think it came out pretty good.

cool man. appreciate it.
hey man first of all wonderful work there and second of all could u pls explain a bit about your coloring technic?
hey, thanks for the compliment. As for the coloring technique, It's all about messing with the trans parentcies of your layers. it helps blend your colors, and getting the right shade. you really have to just get in there and mess with it.
wat program do you use to do this kind of thing! looks mad as hell! if its illustrator what filters etc. do you use!

props man!

RNB, like BERT NEWTON, but more bang for ya buck!
thanks man. I do it in illustrator, then I'll throw it in to photoshop to do touch ups and add textures. other than that, its all about the pen tool.
ahhha! ok man thanks for that! more stuff like this would be dope-a-licious.
